Welcome to ‘Korimako’ which is situated
in Pigeon Bay on the northern coast of Canterburys Banks Peninsula.
Korimako is a special place with a retreat-like seclusion.
It exudes
warmth and character and provides a great place to escape/unwind/recharge.
Korimako
is the Maori name for the Bellbird one of the many native birds
abundant in the garden. The other dominant species is the native
Wood Pigeon (Kereru) which is where Pigeon Bays name originates
from. The birdsong is an enchanting aspect of your stay at Korimako.
The
house is large and airy and is set on an acre of beautiful gardens.
The house overlooks the bay and it is only a short stroll
down the
drive to reach the sea.
Korimako is self-contained accommodation
which provides a well-equipped kitchen and outdoor entertainment
area. The closest hotel and
café are
a short 15minute drive away in Duvauchelle.
Pigeon Bay is
a very natural scenic area which can be enjoyed at anytime
of year. Korimako is comfortable and welcoming
and a great
place to
get together with family and friends. |
